~ My Review ~
Burning Skies is a whole lot of awesomeness!

This segment of the Guardians of Ascension series focuses on Marcus and Havily, the newest couple to be struck with the Breh-hedden.  At one point in time Marcus was a Warrior of the Blood, sworn to protect Second and Mortal Earth.  After his sister was killed some 200 years ago he deserted his warrior brothers to live on Mortal Earth. Problem is his Breh lives on Second and she’s right in the middle of the war, but not just that, one of their enemies wants her blood.

I was totally crushing on Marcus by the end of the first book and I’m glad to say he didn’t disappoint.  I just loved him.  There was a moment at the beginning that I thought he was the lowest of the low, but it didn’t last.  Thank goodness!  He ended up being the incredible hero that I wanted him to be.

The world building was fantastic and continued to grow throughout this book.  I didn’t feel like this one dragged at all, which was one of my small complaints from Ascension. The characters were well developed, and there really wasn’t a dull moment.

My final thoughts ... I’m completely hooked.  The next story was setup perfectly and I’m really looking forward to reading more about these awesome warriors.  would highlyrecommend this series.
